Andi M. Metzel advances as president-elect of Indiana State Bar Association

 

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 5, 2016) – Andi M. Metzel, Indianapolis, advanced to the office of president-elect of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) for 2016-17 at the Association’s annual meeting in Indianapolis. Her term will expire in September 2017, after which she will become president of the ISBA. As president, she will represent the single largest legal organization in the state.

 

Metzel is a partner at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff LLP and focuses her practice on complex commercial and "bet the company" litigation, including shareholder and corporate governance disputes, fraud, RICO, land use, construction, shareholder derivative suits, business torts, supply chain, class actions, product liability, trade secrets and non-compete disputes. She is a part of her firm’s Women’s Initiative Committee and routinely helps to drive the firm’s business development and client relations efforts.

 

She has extensive experience negotiating resolutions in complex business, personal and transactional matters and is involved in many aspects of development and strategic consulting for businesses committed to thrive in a competitive global marketplace and seeking to invest and grow in Indiana and around the United States. Metzel received her B.A. in political science and philosophy from Franklin College in 1991; studied international relations and politics at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada; studied at the United Nations while attending Drew University; and received her J.D. from the I.U. Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1996.
